Rodrigo Pereira, sometimes Rodrigo Pedreira, prefers to live in remote areas. His work explores the intersection between electronic technologies and environment, space, and time. Grounded in a transdisciplinary ethic, he works across video, sound, installation, sculpture, and other media as they emerge. He has collaborated with artists from different fields and practices and was a co-founder of the cultural project — and almost impossible — Ocupação. He holds a Master’s degree in Art and Sound Technologies from ESMAE and is a PhD candidate in Arts Education at FBAUP. He embraces dérive as an important form of resistance to utility.
