He as a degree and Master's in Sociology from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (FLUP). He is attending the 3rd cycle in Sociology at FLUP and is a PhD fellow at the Institute of Sociology of the University of Porto (IS-UP). His interest includes several Sociology themes, where, after having initially touched on religion issues in the context of his Master's degree, he participated as fellow in the ConPerLit project "Medicines and food supplements in performance consumption: social practices, contexts and literacy", funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (PTDC/SOC/30734/2017). He is working on his PhD project "Police officers, professional identity and body cultures", funded by the FCT (UI/BD/152881/2022) and focusing on the themes of professional identities and body cultures.
