In this session, the research sub-group "Social Recompositions and Territories" of the Institute of Sociology of the University of Porto will once again present and discuss the work of its doctoral research members.
The session - entitled "New age, environmentalism and new protagonisms: preliminary results of ecovillages in Portugal" - will be hosted by Tiago Pinto and will take place online via Zoom on Wednesday 10 July at 17:30. The session will feature comments from Diogo Guedes Vidal and is co-organised by the Institute of Sociology of the University of Porto and the Thematic Section of Sociology of Religion of the Portuguese Sociological Association.
Tiago Pinto is a doctoral student in sociology at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto (FLUP) and a research fellow at the Institute of Sociology of the University of Porto (ISUP). He is a member of the coordinating team of the Sociology of Religion section of the Portuguese Sociological Association (APS). He is currently working on the project "New Age, environmentalism and new protagonisms: the case of ecovillages in Portugal" (FCT 2022.13643.BD).
Diogo Guedes Vidal is a sociologist with a PhD in ecology and environmental health. He is currently an Invited Assistant Researcher on the European project "PHOENIX: The rise of Citizens Voices for a greener Europe", at the University of Coimbra, and an Invited Assistant Professor at Universidade Aberta.
