Rita Pereira

Rita Pereira holds a bachelor’s degree in Languages and International Relations from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto (FLUP, 2020) and a master’s degree in Development Studies from Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon (2023). She is currently a PhD candidate in Global and Development Studies at FLUP and an FCT doctoral fellow (2026.00940.BDANA). Her research project examines the solidarity economy as a space for experimenting with alternative ways of understanding and practising development, with a particular focus on the interior of Portugal. She has professional experience in social sector organisations, particularly in project design, management, and coordination at both national and European levels.
