José Manuel de Almeida Couto holds a Master’s Degree in Education Sciences – Specialisation in Educational Psychology (2001/06/25) from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra and a Degree in Theology (1990/07/05) from the Faculty of Theology of the Portuguese Catholic University. He holds a PhD in Teaching Curricular Areas – Specialisation in Teaching of a Native Language (2010/01/25) from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Faculty of Education Sciences, and a Diploma in Advances Studies (DEA) in Teaching Perspectives in Curricular Areas (2003/06/30) from the University of Santiago de Compostela. He is an integrated researcher at the Institute of Sociology of the University of Porto, Associate Professor at the School of Information and Administrative Sciences, and Adjunct Professor at the Paula Frassinetti School of Education.
