23rd April // 17h // Room 310 (Hybrid)

‘Work is no longer what it never was: changes and permanence in labour in Portugal’

With José Soeiro

Sociologist, professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Porto.

‘How can we look at Portuguese society from the perspective of work, what remains and what has changed in recent decades? This session will seek to highlight the permanence and changes that have taken place in the composition of the working class and in the occupational structure since 25 April 197 to the present day, but also to analyse the transformations in the accumulation regime and in the socio-legal framework of work, presenting a diachronic reading of the main disputes, normative changes and forms of collective organisation around work and labour democracy.’

We are counting on your presence!

Date and time: 23 April, 5pm.

Venue (hybrid): room 310.
