Marita Sturken, New York University

 

Marita Sturken is a professor at New York University and the Tisch School of the Arts. She is the author of works such as Tangled Memories: The Vietnam War, the AIDS Epidemic, and the Politics of Remembering (1997), Thelma & Louise (2000), Practices of Looking: An Introduction to Visual Culture (2018), Terrorism in American Memory: Memorials, Museums, and Architecture in the Post-9/11 Era (2022).
