Pedro Caldas is a professor in the History Department at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO). He is the author of articles such as "Metamorphoses of the Past: A Study of Primo Levi's The Periódico Table" (2022), "The concept of limit event: an analysis of its diagnoses" (2019), and together with Sílvia Correia and Mariluci Vargas, he organised the collection Testimony and the Writing of History (2023).
