Alexandre Barbosa Pereira is a professor in the Department of Social Sciences and the Postgraduate Programme in Social Sciences at the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp). He has a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of São Paulo (USP). Coordinator of the City, Education, Youth and Life Course Study Group (CIDEJUV). Founding member of the Network of Studies on Youth Experiences and Actions (REAJ).
