BIOGRAPHICAL WORKSHOPS
11 e 12 OUT
With Elsa Lechner
Registration is now open for the Biographical Workshops, promoted by Elsa Lechner, PhD in Social Anthropology (EHESS, 2003), associate researcher at the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra, author of several books and articles dedicated to biographical research in the study of migrations. Currently develops teaching activities and promotion of biographical workshops in university and extra-university contexts. It is a methodological instrument of expression and sharing of experiences through the production of thematic narratives by volunteer participants in order to deepen a given theme to be worked on in a group. It can be used to develop research, or for action research, training, or even in a civic sense 'to build community'.
On October 10, at 5 p.m., an open class on the methodology will take place. In the following days, two different workshops are promoted, for which prior registration is required.
PROJECT WORKSHOP | OCT 11 | 15H30 – 18H30 | MEETING ROOM 1 - FLUP
The first workshop is aimed at master's and doctoral students interested in deepening the reflection on their own projects. Each participant will be invited to write a page about the motivation to choose their work theme, state of their research, concerns, doubts, difficulties and execution horizon, to share without fear in the group. The workshop will help each participant to better appropriate their dissertation proposal and the group to become aware of the collective dimensions of these same concerns and difficulties of course.
CAREER WORKSHOP | OCT 12 | 15H30 – 18H30 | MEETING ROOM 1 - FLUP
The second workshop is aimed at researchers who wish to raise a joint diagnosis of the current challenges experienced in their careers. Each participant will be invited to write an autobiographical page about their life experience as a researcher, sharing aloud their text in the group. The enunciation and listening of these experiences will enhance a joint reflection and a diagnosis of the concrete realities of this career in the group, which will allow to deepen the fundamental issues experienced in the skin by the researchers, as well as how each u / a will reposition itself before its own work and professional class.
Limit of 6 participants per workshop. Registration until October 1, at: comunicacaoisup@letras.up.pt, with indication of name, age, training and motivation to participate (one paragraph).
