Andréa Rizzotto Falcão
Professor at the Federal Institute of Rio de Janeiro - IFRJ, coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Education and New Technologies and of the Digital Culture Laboratory Research Group, responsible for the Contemporary Cultural Processes and Practices research line. She has also recently worked as Deputy Director at the Dean of Extension, being responsible for drawing up the IFRJ's Cultural Policy and Culture Plan. She has a degree in Arts from UERJ, a Master's in Social Memory from UNIRIO and a PhD in Anthropology and Social Sciences from PPCIS/UERJ. Her research centres on heritage, memory, museums and popular culture. With extensive experience in the field of cultural policies, she has worked in Brazil in all three spheres of government, monitoring the implementation of the intangible heritage policy of the Ministry of Culture (MINC) and its developments. Over the last few years she has developed cultural, social and educational projects for various public and private companies, as well as providing consultancy services for several institutions.
