Arts and Identities

Professor of sociology at the University of Paris 8, her work centres on the sociology of art and culture and, more specifically, the sociology of literature and reading. In this lecture, the researcher will discuss the link between the arts and identities (professional, ethnic, gender, national, etc.), the leitmotif of her work. In particular, she will discuss some of her research work: Jewish writers; the artist Marina Abramovic; bedside books, among others.
