The last session of the first edition of the Cycle of Webinars on "Classes, Inequalities and Public Policies: Emerging Debates", which this Thematic Section of the APS has been organising in partnership with the Institute of Sociology of the University of Porto and the Inequalities Observatory.
The eighth session of this cycle will once again take place via Zoom and will be dedicated to the issues of minimum protection schemes within the framework of welfare states, debating the idea of basic income. Bruno Miguel Oliveira, sociologist and researcher at DINÂMIA'CET-Iscte, will organise the session. The paper is entitled "Innovation in Minimum Income Policies: Examples from Barcelona and Utrecht". This paper will be followed by a period of debate with the participants.
