In his works "Corrosion of Character" (1998) and Culture of the New Capitalism (2006), Sennett relates the characteristics of the new economic model, and specifically the changes caused in corporate culture (job cuts, flexible contracting, outsourcing, lean production and structures...) with the personal and social consequences of work in the post-Fordist era. Session organised by IS-UP lecturer and researcher Cristina Parente.

Reading circles are moments of discussion that honour works or authors from the social sciences and humanities. Participants read a text beforehand and it is discussed by the session leader.
