PhD candidate in Sociology (University of Porto), with a Master’s degree in History, International Relations, and Cooperation, specializing in Political Studies (University of Porto); a Master’s degree in Administration, specializing in Organizational Studies (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil); and a Bachelor’s degree in Administration (Faculdade Porto-Alegrense, Brazil). He is currently a fellowship holder funded by FCT and is developing a research project in the field of the sociology of political activism, social movements, and political parties. He has worked as a professor in the field of Administration at higher education institutions in Brazil, where he also held positions in postgraduate and extension program coordination.
His priority areas of work and research include social movements and social struggles within the context of popular and workers’ resistance, authoritarian transitions, political cycles, state of exception, organizational studies, and critical development studies.
