About
Abstract: International multicentre study that aims to assess the inclusion of a gender perspective in health sciences research groups, specifically in the areas of oncology and cardiovascular diseases, which are non-communicable diseases with the highest incidence and mortality worldwide, with significant differences in gender distribution, and to which numerous economic resources are allocated. The final objective is to draw up an action plan that implements, on the one hand, the inclusion of sex and gender variables in all the stages that make up the biomedical research process and the resulting clinical practice, from the start of the research and its institutional framework to the final communication of the results that lead to the application of the innovative advances that derive from it. It also aims to develop recommendations for the establishment of a quality label (EQUALITUM), which will allow it to be implemented by public administrations.
