PHD WINTER SCHOOL IS-UP

"Imagined Territories: Visual Methods and Spatial Narratives"

February 4-6, 2026, Faculty of Arts & Humanities, University of Porto

We are thrilled to announce the IS-UP PhD Winter School, whose first edition is dedicated to visual methodologies.

The event is specifically designed for doctoral students, offering a wide range of initiatives, including lectures, workshops, a round table discussion, sociological walks, sharing circles, and more. In addition to the scientific component, participants are invited to attend film screenings in various cultural spaces in the city of Porto.

It will be a moment of sharing between different generations of national and international researchers and academics, generating an opportunity for intense and fruitful learning for all.
