Festimigra

AL859 Art Space |

2024-09-08

Festimigra is the result of the chapter Migrant women and the power of the migratory movement: art & affection as forms of resistance, which six migrant women wrote collectively for the book "Portugal Esquecido: Retratos de um país desigual" by João Teixeira Lopes and Catarina Martins. The first six were joined by four other accomplices and together they designed Festimigra, with the desire that the words they wrote would germinate, becoming alive, festive and unsubmissive.

Festimigra will be a mix of performance, theatre, audiovisual exhibition, talks and celebration. The event is free and takes place on 8 September at AL859 Art Space (Rua da Alegria, 859). You can follow all the information on ig @_festimigra.
