Paula Freire holds a degree in Sociology (2013) and a Master’s in Sociology: Inequalities and Social Policies from the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho (2017), with the thesis "Athlete: feminine noun". She was part of the "Roadmap for Portuguese Family Businesses" project team, funded by Norte 2020 in partnership with CICS.NOVA.UMINHO and the Portuguese Trade Association (2016-2018). She is a member of research teams at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto.
