Abstract: An artistic co-creation project that brings together Romani women from the Aldoar neighbourhood with Romani and non-Romani artists in a series of encounters, exchanges and artistic experimentation. Through workshops, performances and open conversations, the project explores issues of identity, territory and memory, promoting intercultural dialogue and appreciation of Romani history and culture. The project includes different formats of encounters: lively sessions of gypsy folk tales, a ‘radical listening’ session that will result in a narrative text, a workshop based on personal photographic archives, a performative experience of gypsy cuisine, and workshops on music, dance and movement. Each stage of the project will be recorded in a documentary that will become the collective artistic object presented at the Nomad Museum - ‘Longo Drom’, integrating the travelling exhibition. Over nine months, this project aims to create a safe and participatory space where stories, knowledge and experiences are transformed into artistic products, strengthening the ties between the Romani community and the social and cultural fabric of the city.
